Multiple Hurdles Approach

It is a selection strategy of administering one test at a time so that applicants must meet or exceed the passing score on more than one selection test. The idea behind multiple hurdles is to first screen out candidates with more efficient tools. In other words, use an inexpensive inventory to wash out those clearly unsuited to the position and reduce the number of candidates eligible for more expensive, labour-intensive methods, such as interviews or assessment centres.
