DERBY INFORMATION & REGULATIONS

NO PRE-REGISTRATION. Just show up the day of the derby and register.

! Registration takes place on location starting at 10:00 am ! Fishing will take place within the designated marked area (across from the Selkirk Park boat launch) from 1 - 4 pm ! Portable shing huts are allowed. We encourage you to park on land and walk down to the ice. ! If you bring your vehicle onto the ice, you do so AT YOUR OWN RISK. ! No concession will be offered this year. ! Port-a-potty toilets will be provided. ! Holes are not pre-drilled, so please bring your own auger. ! You may drill as many holes as you wish and set-up once you have registered for the derby. ! NO PRE-FISHING PERMITTED! ! Everyone must have a valid shing licence and follow the Manitoba angling regulations. ! Please bring sh to the measuring station in a container full of water. ! You may bring in as many sh as possible but only your largest sh will be registered. Only one prize per contestant. ! You may sh from only two holes as per Manitoba shing regulations. ! Live bait and electronics are allowed. ! Fish registration goes by length, not by weight. To be fair, only Greenback Walleyes will qualify. This is a catch and release derby so ALL sh brought in are recorded and then released. ! Kids can catch ANY SPECIES for a chance to win a prize. ! Dead sh will not be registered. ! In case of a tie, the sh caught rst will be the tiebreaker. ! If only a few sh have been registered the rest of the angler names will go into a hat and the prizes will be given out by draw. ! Contestants will be disqualied if derby rules are not complied with. ! Decisions made by tournament ofcial are nal.
