PowerUps 1st Annual Community Chili Cook-off Contestants Rules and Guidelines Event will be held Saturday, January

25th at 6:00 pm 1. Contestants must provide a minimum of 2-3 gallons of chili per entry for public sampling and voting. If you run out you will miss out on votes, which could cost you the main prize of $75.00 2. All cooking will be done at home and brought to this event around 5:30 pm before the doors open. This will give you ample time to set up. 3. Contestants will provide their own ingredients, and heat source (i.e. Crockpot), also please bring a heavy duty extension cord if you will be using electricity to keep your chili warm. 4. Contestants are not permitted to sell or give away any type of food or drink (other than condiments for chili) during the event. PowerUps will have cinnamon rolls and other things to go with the chili. There will also be water and tea provided. 5. Contestants are responsible for keeping their chili area clean. 6. Each attendee will be given a ballot to vote for their favorite number. You will be assigned a number and bowls with your chili will have your number on it. Bowls and spoons will be provided by the PowerUps. 7. If you would like you may provide your recipes to the PowerUp volunteers. We hope in the following years to make a Chili Cookbook using citizens recipes from following years. 8. We expect to have all ballots in and decisions made by 8:00 pm that night. 9. Registration for the event is $10.00 and is due by Wednesday January 22nd, 2014 by 6:00 pm. 10. The most important rule of this cook-off is to have fun and meet people. 11. Prizes are as follows: 1st place chili - $75.00 2nd place chili - $50.00 3rd place chili - $25.00 Best spirit - $25.00
