VAULTING WINTER WARM UP

with Katharine Wick, Gold Level Vaulting Champion

Date: Saturday February 8, 2014 Time: 10:00am 3:00pm Please join us for a day of vaulting with Champion Vaulter Katharine Wick!
Description: All levels of vaulters are welcome. Fitness conditioning, barrel work and mounted sessions will focus on compulsories and freestyle. This clinic will be a fun opportunity to learn more about vaulting, get back into training, and/or set your goals for vaulting in 2014! *Vaulting Attire: Carlisle Academy has a large indoor arena with wonderful footing and light, but it is not heated. All sessions will be held in the arena except for lunch, which will be served in a heated viewing room. Please dress warmly! Proper vaulting attire is tight fitting, stretchy tops and leggings. Riding pants work fine. Having a warm layer to throw on between turns or sessions would be a good idea. Footwear: If you do not have vaulting shoes, please wear sneakers. No hard soled shoes or boots.

About the Clinician: Katharine Wick, from Hillsborough, California, and currently a sophomore at Bates College in Lewiston, Maine, began vaulting over 11 years ago with Woodside Vaulters in Woodside, California. She has competed in team and individual events in the US and Europe. Among her many accomplishments, Katharine was AVA/USEF National Champion Silver Level, in 2006. She competed at the Aachen World Equestrian Festival in 2010, 2011 and 2012, the World Cup in 2011, and the FEI World Vaulting Championships in LeMans, France in 2012, winning many top placings at these and other competitions.
