    Gavrilo Princip, a Bosnian student and guerrilla fighter with the Black Hand group, assassinated Archduke Franz Ferdinand of Austria-Hungary in Sarajevo in 1914. Princip happened to be eating a sandwich at a cafe when Ferdinand's car drove by after an earlier assassination attempt had failed. Princip immediately shot and killed Ferdinand, triggering a series of events that led to World War I and had widespread impacts including millions of deaths, the Russian Revolution, the rise of Hitler, and the invention of the atomic bomb.

Bosnia, in an open top car! # The Black hand attempted ! assassination, however poor! timing resulted in grenades! missing him and hitting a car ! of people behind Ferdinand.! # Ferdinand went to hospital to! visit people injured in attack.! # On Ferdinands journey, in his car,! his driver passed by a cafe where Princip happened to be sat eating a [cheese]! sandwhich. ! # Princip saw and immediately! red at him on June 29 1914.!

    Gavrilo Princip has just eaten a sandwich, and is now standing outside Schillers delicatessen when suddenly the Archdukes car happens to turn into Franz Joseph Street. Completely by chance, fate has brought the assassin and his target within 10 feet of each other.!
