Major U.S.

Industries Experiencing Increased Exports to Mexico and Canada Because of NAFTA


The following table gives the growth in U.S. industry exports to Mexico and Canada from 1993 to 1998 as a result of NAFTA. The table shows that U.S. exports to Mexico and Canada increased by $91 billion or by 64 percent, with the largest increase occurring in the transportation equipment, electronics and non-electrical machinery industries TABLE: Major U.S. Industries of Increased Exports to Mexico and Canada Because of NAFTA, 1993-1998
