Makeschangesinthelocal(current)versionoftherepository.Themodified repositorycontainschangesbyotherdevelopersbetweencheckoutandmerge. 3. Mergesthelocalchanges.Theoriginalmasterrepositorymayhavechanged through g concurrentdevelopment p sincecheckout.

Acopy pyofthelatestmaster repository(modified)isautomaticallyretrievedbythesystemandcompared withthecurrentandoriginalrepositoriesinathreewaymerge.Themodified masterrepositoryisautomaticallylockedbythesystemtopreventissuesduring merge.Ifthereareanyconfigurationconflictsduringthemerge,thedeveloper resolvesthemmanually. 4. Publishesthenewmasterrepositorytothenetwork.Thesystemautomatically movesthemergedrepositorytothesharedmultiuserdirectoryandremovesthe locks.Themergedrepositoryisthenewmasterrepository.
