Week 2 M W S

Week 3 M W S

Steps I will take out my tshirt and lay it down on the table. To keep it steady, I will put tapes around each corner of the t-shirt so that later when I draw the design, it wont move around. I will use a Fabercastel 2B pencil and lightly draw the design on the shirt so that when I need to erase something, it wont leave a mark. I will first cover the square part of the tshirt that contains the pictures, and writings so that when I make a mistake, when tiedyeing, it wont

2.

Tie dyeing the tshirt. I will tie dye the sleeves and the collars ONLY because I am not going to tie-dye the whole t-shirt.

Color dye (Purple & dark pink/red), rubber bands, plastic

stain the pictures. But, before tiedyeing the areas where the dye is needed, I will draw the pattern so that I can know which area I should dye. Since Im using Design 1s sleeves pattern, I will have to draw the pattern first, a wavy dripping style. After I finish drawing the wavy pattern I will scrunch up bits of the sleeves, following the pattern drawn on the sleeves. After I finish scrunching it up, I will tie the end of the sleeve with a rubber band to keep it in place. I will slowly dip it in the color I need first (purple) and after

3.

After the tie-dye process is finished, I will batik the contour lines of the drawings and writings. I chose to do tiedye first (with the recommendation from Ibu Lisa) because even if doing the batik

Canting, batik wax, apron and a stool to sit in, a stove, a stew pot (for boiling), a bucket with cool water (for dipping in after

that, I will use the penyedot and take the red color and just randomly put the color in because it was meant to make a gradation between the 2 colors (purple + red/dark pink). After that, I will let it dry. If I dont finish this at school, I will bring it home and do it at home. I will use a canting to help me wax the contours of the drawings and writings. In order to make it neat and presentable. I HOPE AND WILL MAKE THIS BATIK SPOTLESS FROM DRIPPING WAX STAINS!

will take more time, it wont affect the drawings (producing stains from the dye). After finishing both processes, I will boil the t-shirt so that the wax will peel off then later on dip it in cold/cool water. After finishing the batik and tiedyeing process, I will make questions for my survey regarding others opinions on my promotional tshirt.

I will think and reflect over a few questions for the survey I will be conducting regarding others opinions about my promotional t-shirt. I will also conduct this survey to myself as a reflective survey about my survey.
