    Executive Committee of the Staten Island Democratic Party Endorses Domenic Recchia for Congress
    (STATEN ISLAND, NEW YORK)- On Thursday, January 16th, 2014, the Democratic Committee of Richmond Countys Executive Committee met and voted to recommend an endorsement of former Councilman Domenic M. Recchia, Jr. to the County Committee for the 11th Congressional seat. We are a hundred percent behind Domenic, said Democratic Chairman John P. Gulino, Domenic has impressed all of us with his campaign so far and I have no doubt he has what it takes to win. He is someone who will bring common sense Staten Island values to Congress. Domenic will be a Congressman who will prioritize creating jobs, improving transportation options and ensuring Staten Islanders get their fair share of federal funding including for Hurricane Sandy relief. "I'm honored to have the endorsement of the Staten Island Democratic Party's Executive Board for my congressional race, Said Recchia. I know this body to be comprised of a diverse crosssection of Staten Islanders who share my commitment to making our community, City, and nation a better place to live, work, and raise a family, for this generation and those to come. Together, we're going to continue to build the momentum of our campaign to give the people of this district a fight voice in Congress. Together, we will bring new leadership to Washington, DC." The 11th Congressional District is viewed as one of the most competitive races nationally and is one of the few districts President Obama carried that are represented by a Republican.
