PROPERTIESOFOIL &NATURALGAS

Oilproperties
Propertiesofcrudeoilandnaturalgasarefundamentalfor designingandanalyzingoilandgasproductionsystemsin petroleumengineering. Oilpropertiesinclude: solutiongasoilratio(GOR) density formationvolumefactor viscosity compressibility.

SolutionGasOilRatio(GOR)
Volumeofgasthatcanbedissolvedinunitvolumeofoilin reservoircondition.(SCF/STB)

GORremainsconstantwhenP>Pb(bubblepointpressure). ItdecreasesaspressuredecreasewhenP<Pb. ItcanbemeasuredinPVTlaboratoriesorcanbeestimated byexperimentalcorrelations.
