BOSTON APRIL 1st 1774 King George III responds decisively to the acts of the Boston Tea Party

this week by closing the city port. One of Americas busiest and wealthiest port towns, the harbour offered many jobs to the people of Boston, all of whom have been sent home without pay. In the incident, 342 crates of the finest Darjeeling tea was shockingly dumped into the sea in response to the parliamentary act which placed taxes on the purchasing of tea in the colonies. Relations between the two sides have been turning sour since the introduction of Stamp Act in 1765 and the Boston Massacre of 1770. Both the Tea Party and the closure of the Boston Port have led to the hardening of positions on both sides of the Atlantic Ocean cementing the hostilities between the two sides (Colonists and the British).
