Mark Duggan was shot and killed by police during a traffic stop in Tottenham, London in 2011. Although a jury concluded he was lawfully killed, his family and supporters believe it was an unjustified shooting and are protesting police racism. The document calls for standing against racist scapegoating by supporting demonstrations on March 22, 2014 to demand justice for Mark Duggan and end discriminatory police practices like stop and search that disproportionately target black and minority communities.

Stop police racism, we demand full justice for Mark DUGGAN
Mark was gunned down when police stopped the taxi in which he was travelling in Tottenham, north London. A jury looking into his death said they were sure that he did not have a gun in his hand but concluded last week that he was "lawfully killed" by police in August 2011. This sparked shock and fury from family, supporters and activists across the country. We know that the everyday reality is racist stop and search, repression directed particularly at black and Asian people, young people, protesters and working class people in general. Black people are 30 times more likely to be stopped and searched by police than white people. Complaints of racism are lodged against the police every single day.
