Miss Lewiss Class News Week of January 21st

What Were Learning


Reading: We will look at characters in stories and how the change due to certain events. Language Arts: We worked on synonyms this week and will be working on contractions next week. Spelling Words: need, kind, different, myself, everyone, few, being, really, understand, question Writing: We are writing opinion pieces about books that we have read. They must start with an introduction, state our opinion, have reasons to support it, and a closing to wrap it up. Math: We will continue working on telling time and begin working on solving problems involving coin collections. Social Studies: We are learning about Jackie Robinson and civil rights.

Classroom News & Reminders *As the weather gets cooler, remember to send your child in with appropriate clothing. If they are not dressed appropriately, they will stay inside for an alternate activity during our recess. They need to be wearing a COAT to go outside when temperatures are cold. *We will go to the Media Center on Tuesday so remember to send books back that are ready to be returned.
