Martins father was a
Minister also. He
followed his fathers
footsteps. A little later,
his father past away.

married Jennie Celeste
Parks. They later had 4
children. Martin III,
Dexter, Yolanda, and
Bernice.

His Early Life


Martin Luther King Jr. was born
Atlanta, Georgia. He was named
after his father, Michael King.
After his father changed his name
to Martin he did too. When
Martin was 12 years old his
grandmother died of a hearth
attack. Martin attended Brook T
Washington High School. At age
15 he went to Morehouse College,
located in Atlanta.

Darkness cannot drive out

His Noble Act

Martin Luther King Jr. Was a Baptist minister and he had an important role in the
American Civil Rights Activist. He helped Rosa Parks during the Montgomery Bus
Boycott. When he was 35 years old he was awarded with the noble peace prize
making him the youngest to have received the prize. In the evening of April 4, 1968
Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. was assassinated.
