Simplex method (algorithm).
Geometrical aspects and mathematical theory.

Problems which may be formulated using graphs and networks.

Textbook: There are no textbooks for this class, but many introductory books on operations research have a good discussion on the material in this class, and have good exercises. For example: Introduction to Linear Optimization by D. Bertsimas and J. Tsitsiklis, Linear Programming by V. Chvtal, Linear Programming and Network Flows by M. Bazaraa, J. Jarvis and H. Sherali Introduction to Operations Research by F. Hillier and G. Lieberman Linear and Nonlinear Programming by S. Nash and A. Sofer etc...

IVLE course website: Course materials will be posted there. Use the discussion forum and chatroom to post questions. Assessment: 20% midterm, 10% homeworks (total of 4), 70% nal. Midterm time will be posted later. Tutorials: Will start in week 3. Use CORS to register for a tutorial group. Consultation hours: By appointment to make sure that I am in my oce.
