Matt 9:35 "And Jesus went about all the cities and villages, teaching in their synagogues, and

preaching the gospel of the kingdom, and healing every sickness and every disease among the people." Here we can see in the ministry of Jesus the distinction between Preaching and Teaching. Preaching is a divinely inspired message for encouragement, reproof, instruction, correction, and warning. Teaching on the other hand involves expounding (i.e. bringing clarity and understanding) to a subject matter so that the people can be built up in the knowledge of God.
