Annual Function (The Sound of Music) Delhi Public School Ghaziabad hosted its 33rd Annual Day on 7th

December, 2013.The Chief Guest for the occasion was Mr. Syed Shahnawaz Hussian, Member of Parliament, referred to as The Original Youth Leader. The Guests of Honour were Dr.Arun Mohan Sherry, CAO India and Apollo Global Inc.-USA and Dr. Sanjeev Agarwal, Consultant Physician. The function was presided over by Mr.Om Pathak, Chairman DPSG Society. The other dignitaries present were Mr. V.P.Kaura, Secretary, DPSG Society, Mr. Anshul Pathak, Joint Treasuer DPSG Society, Col. Rattan Bir Singh, Director and Joint Secretary DPSG Society. Mrs. Niharika Pathak and Mrs. RattanBir Singh also graced the occasion. Principal Ms. Jyoti Gupta welcomed the guests and in her address said that the ethos of the school rests in the strong sense of standing together as a family, in its commitment to realizing the potential of the children, and in providing life skills to them. She further reiterated that DPSG has carved a niche for itself among the educational institutions in the country and will continue to spread its wings far and wide. Stating his vision for the school, Mr. Om Pathak stated that the school would get connected with the wider community to become an extended family. Students of the Senior Secondary Wing presented the Annual Report listing the year -long achievements of the institution in different fields. The programme commenced with the auspicious lighting of the lamp, by the Chief Guest and the Management Members of the DPSG Society. The musical extravaganza The Sound of Music- a colourful rhythmic synchrony presented a story of struggle and triumph. It rightfully conveyed the message to have confidence in ones capabilities and faith in the Almighty.The perfectly coordinated rhythmic movement of the students mesmerized the audience .The Chief Guest lauded the schools efforts to instill confidence in the children and congratulated the school to be one of the best in the country. Head Mistress, Ms. Kala Nagarkoti proposed the vote of thanks and the programme concluded with the rendition of the National Anthem.
