First three questions for Faraday’s law

1. Faraday’s law states that an electric field is induced in any system in which a magnetic
field is changing with time.
2. The first experiment is done by wrapping pieces of wire around opposite sides of a piece
of soft iron with on piece of wire wrapped around a compass and the other piece
connected to switch at one end and a battery at the other end. The significance of this
experiment is to show that changes in a magnetic field could induce an electromotive
force and current in a nearby circuit, which is called electromagnetic induction. The
second experiment is done by creating a coil and connecting it to a voltmeter. A magnet
is moved through the coil repeatedly to see the movement on the voltmeter. The
significance of this experiment is to show that a moving magnetic field is necessary in
order for electromagnetic induction to occur.
3. The voltmeter reads zero when the magnet stops moving. This is because a moving
magnetic field is needed to for electromagnetic induction to occur.
