Goal Form: English 12

Goal: I will attend NIACC for four years and become a Registered Nurse by 2018. Deadline to accomplish Goal: May 2018 Steps to accomplish Goal: (In chronological order, please) Please be sure to include the following types of information: a) Educational goals, b) career goals, c) personal goals. Steps to accomplish these goals should include specific information that will allow you to achieve these goals. Examples of Steps: 1) I will attend college at NIACC for two years to receive my AA degree before transferring to a private 4 year college. 2) I will apply to all mechanic shops in a 30 mile radius to Northwood, so that I can be employed within driving distance from Northwood. I wish to live here as an adult. 3) I will apply for local scholarships and scholarships offered in the area of nursing at the University of Iowa to help fund my education. 1. This semester of 2014 I am taking the Certified Nursing Aid course through NIACC as a Senior. 2. I plan to apply for many local scholarships to help fund and pursue my education through NIACC. 3. I will attend NIACC in the fall of 2014 and study the medical field. 4. During my education I wish to work at the Lutheran Retirement Home here in Northwood, IA as a nurses aid. 5. I will complete one out of the three types of nursing programs. 6. I plan to complete required education and certification through NIACC. 7. I will always know the skills of becoming a Registered Nurse and keep practicing as a Nurses Aid. 8. Take the National Council Licensure Examination-Registered Nurse Test. 9. Find a local job as a registered nurse. 10. Consider to study more to become a nurse practitioner.
