Boston Bruins Fans To Welcome Shawn Thornton To AT&Ts South Shore Plaza Store
WHAT: Boston Bruins forward Shawn Thornton will be at an AT&T store in Braintree to meet with fans and sign autographs. The Ontario native is in his seventh season with the Bruins. Thorton will help AT&T with its Design My Rally Towel contest, which allows Bruins fans to use a smartphone app to create their own towel design. The grand-prize winner will get tickets to the Bruins April 12 fan appreciation game. At that game, towels featuring the winning design will be given to the first 12,000 fans in attendance. The Design My Rally Towel app is available for both IOS and Android users. Submissions will be accepted through February 14, 2014, and Boston fans should choose the Boston template. Thorton also supports AT&Ts It Can Wait and has taken the pledge to not text and drive. He is encouraging others to do the same, and students from Massachusetts who take the pledge will be entered into a drawing. The winner will bring Thorton to their school. Thorton will also host their hockey programs at TD Garden for a practice and coaching session.
