    Alexander Bremner was a laborer and bowsman for the Hudson's Bay Company who entered service in 1812. He worked at various posts across Rupert's Land before leaving the company's service in 1832 to settle at Red River. He married Elizabeth Twatt in 1833 and they had nine children together who were all baptized in the Red River colony. Bremner died in August 1842 at the age of 47.

Wife: Children: Elizabeth (Betsy) Twatt, daughter of Magnus and Margaret Twatt, married 1 May 1833 (the ceremony solemnized a marriage of long duration) (E.4/16,fo.237d).
