LION TAMER KITCHEN SUPER GLUE

THE PREMISE
A retired circus performer is busy cooking something up but soon finds himself in a sticky situation

THE LOGLINE
A retired circus performer, James, is relaxing at home, cooking his dinner when he hears strange noises in his house. At first he ignores them and carries on but the noises become louder and a hungry and aggressive lion appears in his kitchen. He has to think fast and back to his circus-performing days. The audience are kept on the edge of their seats as they fear for James. A tube of superglue comes in handy, but is it enough?

THE STEP OUTLINE

Scene starts with outside view of house. Postman walks by and delivers newspaper. Next we are inside house and see paper fall through letterbox and onto floor. Headline reads LOCAL LION ESCAPED BEWARE! Shot cuts to James cooking in the kitchen, he is relaxed and listening to music on the radio. There is a bang and clatter from somewhere but not very clear as the music is over-powering. He continues and hears noises again, this time a bit louder (as the lion is getting closer). He switches down the volume of the music , now more worried, he starts to hear growling at this point. The lion enters the kitchen and James gasps in shock and confusion, how did the lion get there? He glances at old photograph on the wall, it is of him in his circus-performing days, which jogs his memory on lion taming. As he backs away and searches for weapons / shields, he notices a tube of superglue on the shelf. The lion is getting closer, and seeming more aggressive / agitated. With his dinner still cooking away, James thinks to mix the glue in with the food and then feed it to the lion. The lion begins to eat but slowly starts to struggle as the glue works its wonders. His upper and lower jaw become locked together. He has managed to get the lion in a state so that he cannot bite anyone. Though the lion still knows he has just as good and just as sharp claws to use (end on cliff-hanger?)
