    Arashiyama By Japan Railways (JR) The fastest access from Kyoto Station to Arashiyama is provided by the JR Sagano Line

    (also known as JR Sanin Line). The one way ride to SagaArashiyama Station takes 15 minutes and costs 230 yen. From Saga-Arashiyama Station, central Arashiyama can be reached in a 5-10 minute walk. If you start your trip at Kyoto station, take the JR line to Saga Arashiyama station to get the Romantic Train (Torokko) that goes to Kameoka (25 min) along the Hozugawa River. The train has 5 cars and one of them is a 'fully open' (no windows) car from which you could enjoy a panoramic view. The tram runs the whole length of 7.3 km for about 25 min. You can enjoy beautiful autumn leaves on the mountains and a view of the valley through a big window. Price: Adult 600 yen, Child 300 yen BOAT RIDE: 10am/1130am/1300pm/1430pm Boarding site in Kameoka station, walk 8 mins to Hozugawa-kudari boarding site
