Project Proposal PisikaWISEan: Let The Games Begin

PisikaWISEan is an annual quiz competition by the UP Physics Organization designed to test the knowledge of physics majors, faculty, and staff in areas other than physics (e.g. music, movies, pop culture, etc.) and to promote camaraderie beyond school hours.

Objectives
1. Test the knowledge of physics minds in terms of the pop culture and other genres 2. Promote camaraderie

Game Mechanics
1. Anyone affiliated with the National Institute of Physics can join the PisikaWISEan quiz contest.

2. Form teams of three (3) people and register for a price of P150.00 inclusive of food and stay in an air-conditioned room. 3. The contest will follow the jeopardy rules. a. There will be 10 categories with 5 questions each. b. Each one of the contestants will be given a chance select a category and a difficulty level that will be played for each round. c. The teams will be provided with an illustration board and chalk to write their answers. d. The teams will be given only 10 seconds to answer each question, anytime after the question is flashed in the screen (even before the reader finishes reading the question). After 10 seconds, they must raise their boards for the checkers to see. e. The teams that will answer each question correctly will be given the points corresponding to the difficulty of the question. f. The point system is 100, 200, 300, 400, and 500. g. The team with the highest accumulated points win. 4. The prizes will be: a. First place P1500.00 b. Second place P1000.00 c. Third place P500.00
