F.Scott Fitzgerald
-Born on September 24, 1896 in St.Paul, Minnesota. - Went to Princeton University from 1913 to 1917 where he used his gift as a writer to right scripts for Princetons famous Triangle Club musicals along with articles for Princeton Tiger humor magazine and stories for the Nassau Literary Magazine. - In 1917, he dropped out of Princeton and joined the U.S Army. - Once the war was over, he returned back to St.Paul to continue rewriting his novels. -Fitzgerald finished four novels, his most famous one, The Great Gatsby. -He was then widely regarded as one of the greatest American writers of the 1920s.

- Growing up as a child, Fitzgeralds father was poor, having failed in business which couldn't support the family financially. So his mothers family helped with finances and even paid for young Fitzgerald to attend Princeton University. - In 1915, Fitzgerald fell in love with Ginevra King who came from a wealthy family. Yet her father had disapproved due to Fitzgeralds poverty. - This aggravated Fitzgerald and made him have an ambivalent attitude towards the rich. - He later met another woman by the name of Zelda Sayre, after forming an engagement, she broke off due to disapproval from her family. Again because of his poverty. - When he later began making money as a writer, the relationship was resumed.

- All in all money played a special role during his lifetime which brought both positive and negative factors.

- F. Scott Fitzgerald was a Jazz Age novelist and short story writer who is considered to be among the greatest twentieth-century American writers. - He became known for his greatest work ,The Great Gatsby . - He was often rejected for many things due to his lack of money. - Fitzgerald was also an alcoholic and tried to live a lifestyle of free-spending, self-indulgent and heavy drinking. -Fitzgerald wrote his first novel, The Romantic Egoist, during World War I, convinced that he would not survive the fighting.

-His full name was Francis Scott Key Fitzgerald and he was named after the man who composed "The Star Spangled Banner." Edward Fitzgerald (Scott's father) was related to Francis Scott Key.

not because of writing, but because of football in which he later joined. - Also the party lifestyle is what overall influenced him during the 1920s he also began to be a heavy drinker. - He also wrote for the Triangle Club that sprouted his interest for writing.

- 1850 Irish immigrants are the people whom his mothers family descends from and what influenced Fitzgeralds coming to St. Paul
- His wife Zelda, the woman he fell in love with also influenced him in many aspects of his life.
