Overall Comments:
Ms. Vitorio has displayed ongoing growth throughout her two week placement. She consistently demonstrated professionalism both within the classroom and within the school setting. Ms. Vitorio also participated in different aspects of teaching and learning (i.e., staff meeting, P.A. Day, Me to We Committee, Liturgical Committee).

Comments (Please elaborate on strengths/areas for growth): Ms. Vitorio has demonstrated care and commitment to teaching and especially to the students in her care. She interacted with the students and treated the students with respect by ensuring every thought was validated and/or heard. Ms. Vitorio is learning to make adjustments to meet the needs of all students.

Comments (Please elaborate on strengths/areas for growth): Ms. Vitorio has collaborated, with myself, as well as, my two teaching partners. She met with us daily to discuss planning instruction, assessment, management strategies, etc. Ms. Vitorio consistently demonstrated responsibility and professionalism within the classroom and within the school setting.

Comments (Please elaborate on strengths/areas for growth): Ms. Vitorio chose specific expectations with regards to the learning skills to be taught. She chose a variety of interesting materials to carry out her lessons and consistently prepared these materials in advance (i.e., charts, posters, story books, hands-on manipulatives, SMART Board). Her plans were well organized. Ms. Vitorio is learning to use a variety of assessment strategies appropriate for the learning task at hand.

X X X X Comments (Please elaborate on strengths/areas for growth): When beginning a lesson, Ms. Vitorio usually took the time to build on the prior knowledge of the students and draw students into the activity through her hook. Most often, the materials she used served as a point of departure for the knowledge to be learned (i.e., story books, posters, charts, songs, SMART Board, etc.), and in turn provided students with the background knowledge necessary to be successful in completing the task at hand. Throughout her placement, Ms. Vitorio became more comfortable in pacing of lessons. During her two week block, Ms. Vitorio learned very quickly to adapt to last minute changes in the daily schedule due to various interruptions.

Comments (Please elaborate on strengths/areas for growth): Although Ms. Vitorio has a pleasant voice when communicating with the students, she is working on using a more audible voice. Ms. Vitorio is also working on repetition and rephrasing of questions, so that students understand what is being asked of them. She consistently promotes a positive and collaborative learning environment where students feel comfortable and are heard. Classroom routines were reinforced through various classroom management techniques on a daily basis; however, occasional off-task behaviour occurred but Ms. Vitorio always handled it in a positive approach. She consistently reinforced positive behaviour throughout her lessons.
