Group is largest trade association in San Diego with 12,000 members

San Diego The Greater San Diego Association of REALTORS (SDAR) endorsed mayoral candidate and City Councilmember Kevin Faulconer at its Kearny Mesa office today. After interviewing Kevin Faulconer and David Alvarez, SDAR chose to endorse Faulconer. With more than 12,000 members, SDAR is the largest trade association in the city. Leslie Kilpatrick, 2014 SDAR President, cited Faulconers bipartisan leadership style, experience and commitment to neighborhood improvement as reasons for the endorsement. She said: More than 40 REALTORS, including Democrats, Republicans and Independents who live and do business in the City of San Diego, interviewed and evaluated the mayoral candidates. Following that process, the Greater San Diego Association of REALTORS united behind Kevin Faulconer. Kevin Faulconer has the bipartisan track record we desire in a leader, shown through his work to protect Mission Bay Park and help our homeless population. So many of us were frustrated when the City passed the Foreclosure Registry in 2012, which forces foreclosed homeowners who own their homes to pay a fee to register their property on a list.
