SOUTH SCARLE PARISH MEETING Minutes of Special Parish Meeting th Wednesday 26 November, 2013 1.

Present: David Clarke (Chair), Adrian Lawton (Clerk), Linda Molineaux, Alan Molineaux Ann Candlish Phillip Clements, Betty Clements, Peter Rowlands, Sue Rowlands, Florence Baldwin, Dave French, Carol Cardwell, Judith Duffield, Anita Clements, Stephen Clements, Edgar Candlish, David Duffield, Mo Tyler 2. Apologies: Jane Clarke, Margaret Matthews 3. Introduction To The Meeting: The Chairman pointed out the reason for the Special Meeting resulted from a series of planning applications received that required the Parish Meeting to review. The requirements of Newark & Sherwood to receive a response before the end of November meant that deferring the review to a normal meeting was not possible. As this is a Special Meeting only the items listed on the agenda will be discussed. All other matters will be deferred to the next full meeting scheduled for January 2014. 4. Planning Application The following planning applications were put to the meeting (i) Alterations to Church View Barn and extension plus alteration to outbuildings to form garaging, Main Street. Result of the vote: Supported Not Supported Abstentions 19 0 0

(ii)

Single storey extension to kitchen, The Old Stackyard, Swinderby Road. Result of the vote: Supported Not Supported Abstentions 17 1 1 Church Farm,

(iii)

Conversion of 2 No. barns to form 2 No. residential units, Main Street. Result of the vote: Supported Not Supported Abstentions 18 0 1

5. Premises Licence The Chairman reminded the meeting of the pending application for a Premises Licence to allow the sale of alcoholic beverages within the Community Centre during events. If any parishioner wishes to make comments regarding the application they are able to do so via the Newark & Sherwood web site addressing any issues they have in connection with the following areas. ! ! ! ! The prevention of crime and disorder Public safety The prevention of public nuisance The protection of children from harm

There being no further business the meeting closed at 7.17pm
