Texas Spaghetti

Ingredients:
1. 1# of ground beef, or as much as you want.
2. One 1# package of spaghetti noodles, cooked according to directions [or more if you like a lot]
3. 1 Jar of Spaghetti sauce, [your choice which brand]
4. Italian seasoning, Cumin, Marjoram, Rosemary, Basil, Bay leaves (all optional) (a pinch or a
shake of it, you'll learn as you do it)
5. 2 Cups Shredded Cheese, or add as much as you like. (I like a lot).

Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Spray a cake pan 9X13 with Pam, or no stick spray. It will make
cleaning up much easier. Trust me!!

Cook spaghetti noodles according to directions. Cook Sp. Sauce according to directions and add
whatever spices you like. The ones I listed are really good for this.
Brown ground beef and drain, and add to the spaghetti sauce. Let sauce simmer as long as you
can to really get the flavor into the sauce. If you like onions, feel free to add them while you're
cooking the meat. I just don't like onions is all.

OK, now that you have that done, it's easy. Begin by putting a little bit of sauce in the bottom of
your casserole dish. Then add some spaghetti to cover the bottom of the dish. Then add some
sauce, and shredded cheese. You're going to be layering this just like you would lasagna. Keep
doing this until all the ingredients are used up.
Make sure to keep a fair amount of sauce and cheese for your very last layer.

You did remember to save some aside didn't you

Now, just stick it in the oven for about 15 minutes to let the cheese melt all the way through.
Then, grab a sthingy, get a good helping, and start eating. You'll be wanting more, by the way. If
you find you have too much of the ingredients left over, just go ahead and use a smaller pan to
layer the excess. I've always got left over, and do that anyways. By using the amount I use, you
can make some to take to church or a family gathering, and still have some at home for you.

"Cheater" ....I Know but it's so good...I can't help myself.

This is really good reheated in the microwave or in the oven. Just be careful it doesn't get burned.

Feel free to adapt this anyway you like. Add something to make it uniquely yours, take away what
you don't like...but the main ingredients of meat, spaghetti, sauce and cheese are really essential.
The rest is all optional. Have fun, and enjoy eating

This recipe can be easily doubled for making more for Church events or such....I have never tried
to cut it back...as the left overs heat so well...
