What is FeLV and FIV?
FeLV/FIV infections are two of the most common
feline diseases worldwide. Infections can cause
severe immune suppression, anemia, and result
in increased risk of other infections. IMULAN’s
LTCI is the first and only approved treatment
aid* in the United States for cats suffering from
FeLV and FIV infections.
How does LTCI work?
LTCI is a naturally occurring immune stimulating
protein that helps restore your cat's ability to
fight infection by increasing the production of
lymphocytes.
What are lymphocytes?
Lymphocytes are immune cells that help the body
identify and destroy viruses and certain cancers.
*Conditional licenses are granted by the USDA's
Center for Veterinary Biologics to products that
have met reasonable expectation of efficacy, have
demonstrated purity, and passed safety testing.
How is LTCI administered?
LTCI is injected under the skin. For the first month
LTCI is given weekly, then it can usually be given
monthly, or as needed, depending on the cat's
response and your veterinarian's advice.
When should my sick cat feel better?
Clinical studies show that some cats respond in
the first few weeks. Response to treatment may
vary depending on your cat's condition and their
immune status.
