Explaining major differences between books that tell stories and books that give information, drawing on a wide reading of a range of text types. (Non-fiction vs. fiction). Knowing and applying grade-level phonics and high frequency words. STUDENTS ARE STILL NEEDING A LOT OF PRACTICE IN WRITING THEIR WORD WALL WORDS, AND USING PHONICS SKILLS FOR DICTATION ON FRIDAY!!! Practicing counting to 120, and representing, writing, and reading numbers up to 100. Solving two-step word problems, and problems with 3 addends. Understanding subtraction as an unknown-addend problem. For example, subtract 10 8 by finding the number that makes 10 when added to 8. Collecting, interpreting, and analyzing data (graphing) Understanding place value in the tens and one positions.
