Layout
This cover has been
designed to use all the
space possible on the
page.
Having the Nintendo logo at the top
of the page instantly lets the
customer know what the magazine
will be about, and since it is in big
letters the customer can see it
easily.
The front cover is mainly devoted
to one main feature of the
magazine; the game ‘Scribblenauts’
but there is other information in
what is in the magazine to.
Use of
Images
There is an obvious main
image on the page, this
image is the main
character in the game the
issue is concentrating on.
This big picture adds effect
because it draws the
reader in as it is strange
and interesting.

The use of lots of other little


pictures is effective as it fills up the
space on the page and brings it to
life, as the pictures are colourful
and interesting.
The use of these pictures also
adds insight into what the game
will feature, so someone can
decide when they look at the
cover if they want to read more
about it.
Use of Text

Text is used all over this


cover, the text is funny in
places and humour attracts
people and enthuses them
to read more

Other text on the text plays on


peoples imagination and makes
them want to read on to find out
more.

The big piece of text naming the


game the magazine is focusing on,
is in bold red writing instantly
drawing your eyes to the page.

The writing at the top is the


Nintendo logo and this will
instantly grab the attention of any
Nintendo fan as the logo covers a
lot of the page
Colour and
Font Choice
The front cover has bold red writing
on the bottom which grabs the
readers attention quickly since it is
striking.
The writing on the page is in
a font that looks like human
handwriting, to make it seem
more genuine.

On the left the writing is


blue and white on a black
background, this is used to
grab the customers
attention of what else is in
the magazine.
How the Cover
Attracts the Target
Audience
This cover attracts the target audience by
using humour, bright colours and big text.
The magazine also attracts it target audience
by placing the Nintendo logo at the top of the
page, showing gamers that this is a magazine
for them. The pictures on the front cover
give the customer an idea of what the game
will be like, so the customer would buy the
magazine to find out more.

The black circle that gives more information


is also very helpful to attract the audience
since it draws your attention due to it being
the contrast colour of the magazine.
