The Holocaust Poem By: Dasia Miles-Langaigne

A Nazi soldier came to town with smiles and good intent. Little did we know that later on, he would bring his guns and men. They sent us to concentration camps to work and live our lives. Were screaming out loud and clear, but no one hears our cries. My name has been taken, im no longer Elie. For identification im called A-7713. Men and women are thin and look dead. On thin bunks is where we rest our heads. I used to be chubby, now im skin and bones. I have my father and I still feel alone. For now I keep my mouth closed with nothing to say. Because I dont want to be sent to Dr.Mengele. My people suffer from hunger and fear. Mounds of ashes pile behind the crematory door. Will my people be saved one day? Were not sure. Where is God? What is he doing? Be patient my people because a storm is brewing.
