Obeying God

February 2-February 8, 2014

Review the central truth, the memory verse, prayer and confessions, and read the Bible story with your child each day. As this is done, let your child color in or put a sticker on the power outlet located on the back of the devotional. At the end of the week please sign as proof of completion and return to the teacher. Children who complete 3 weeks Power Cords in a month will have their picture posted in the foyer of Power Source.

God speaks to us through His Word, the Bible.

. . .we will obey the voice of the Lord. . . Jeremiah 42:6

God, I worship You with all my heart. I want to know You by reading Your Word, listening to You, going to church, and being willing to forgive others. Thank You for good teachers and help me to choose good friends. Help me to obey my parents so things will go well with me and I will live a long life on the earth. Bless Pastor Ron and his family with strength and grace. Help me to look for ways to bless others. Thank you that because of Jesus, I am healed and whole. In Jesus Name, Amen

When Jesus was a boy, he went to Jerusalem with his parents, Mary and Joseph, for a special celebration. Later, as they started their journey home, they realized that Jesus was not with them. They returned to Jerusalem to look for him. They found him in the temple, listening to the teachers and asking them questions. The teachers were amazed at Jesus wisdom. He obediently returned home with them. Jesus continued to listen and obey his parents as he grew in wisdom and strength. Luke 2: 41-52

Proverbs 3:5 I will trust in the Lord with all my heart and not lean on my own understanding.
