Valentines Day
We will not be having a Valentines Day party, but we will spend about 15 minutes exchanging Valentines on Valentines Day (February 14). Please send your child to school on Friday, February 14 with a box or bag to collect Valentines. You will find below a list of all students in our class. Please make sure to include everyone when giving out Valentines.

Grade changes for second semester


In order to have consistency between grade levels and to better ensure that grades reflect mastery of the curriculum and grade level expectations, the following percentages will be used to calculate student grades for math and communication arts: 60% for tests; 20% math facts, spelling tests, reading logs, and quizzes; and 20% homework/classwork. In science, percentages will be: 70% for tests; and 30% for labs, homework, classwork, and quizzes. If you have any questions regarding these changes, please contact me.
