January 30, 2014 To Whom It May Concern: I am writing this letter to recommend Tricia Kannegieter for a librarian position.

I have known Ms. Kannegieter for a number of years and in a variety of capacities. My first interaction with her was co-teaching with her at Grand Valley State Universitys Childrens Enrichment Center. During this time, I collaborated with Ms. Kannegieter on a variety of projects, including developing lesson plans, dividing teaching responsibilities, and developing student portfolios. In this capacity, Ms. Kannegieter was always a thoughtful, insightful, and responsible coteacher. She displayed passion for our students and was very dedicated at developing crafts and learning activities that would best meet the needs of the three to four year old children we taught. In a twist of fate, Ms. Kannegieter and I crossed paths again, this time while pursuing my of Master of Library Science at Texas Womans University. We took several of the same courses, including Collection Development and Literacy Programs in Libraries. I was able to work on multiple group projects with her, including creating a presentation on Financial Literacy that we presented online through Blackboard Collaborate to our classmates. She proved to be intelligent, insightful, and passionate in this context, just as when I had worked with her in prior years. Ms. Kannegieter has a unique skill set that will benefit any library where she is hired, given her multiple masters degrees both in Educational Technology and in Library Science. Her background and experience with technology greatly surpass my own, and her video production skills will truly be an asset for any library. Based on my experiences with Ms. Kannegieter, I have no doubts that she is will be an excellent professional librarian. Sincerely,
