Spearmans Rank Correlation Coefficient

Use when you want to compare the ORDER of data, and youre not necessarily concerned about the actual numbers; or, when the original data does show some agreement but doesnt lie in a STRAIGHT LINE.
1st Set up a table of the original data 2nd Decide whether High is GOOD or Low is GOOD and assign ranks to the data 3rd Find the Differences between the ranks 4th Square the differences 1st 2nd 5th Find the total of these squares 6th Put everything in the right place in the formula and calculate rs LASTLY BUT MOST IMPORTANTLY INTERPRET YOUR RESULTS 3rd 6th
