What We See

Our eyes were created to see things

but
we must look carefully
and not all at once
for humans are built of layers
and the outer is only the shell

Our hearts feel emotion

which
we cannot define all at once
for humans are created out of experience
and the past sometimes clouds our thoughts

Our souls bring us wisdom

yet
we don’t always know the truth
for humans are on a journey
sacred and full of mystery to a place unknown
