Fun Fact: Hakka and Japanese On-Reading Hakka is much lesser known than Mandarin and Cantonese.

However, its pronunciation is even closer the Japanese On-reading.

The on-reading for (3 is a tone mark)

is ya while its Hakka reading is also ya3.
