LISTENING AND SPEAKING SKILLS


Scheme of work A provide more fun activities compared to B. EXAMPLE : USING SONGS, ACTION SONGS, NURSERY RHYMES AND POEM There is an integration of Language Arts in the lesson for scheme of work A, as the teachers can conduct activities such as singing songs and rhymes, and also reciting poems.

READING
Scheme of work B is more appropriate compared to scheme of work A, this is because pupils in year 1 must have the knowledge and able to recognise the sounds before they are able to read and understand phrases. Scheme of work B stress on the use of phonics skills in teaching reading.

WRITING
Scheme of work A shows that pupils must be able to master the penmanship skills from the first step before they can do the writing activities such as scribbling and drawing patterns as mentioned in scheme of work B. Scheme of work A provide scaffolding activities such as listings and fill-in-form of personal details.

LANGUAGE ARTS
Scheme of work B is better than A because as they enjoy the language arts lesson, they will be able to learn the correct pronunciation of words.
