What is this?

2. What do you notice about the electron arrangement of group I elements?

3. How many outer shell electrons do group 5 elements have?

4. What do you notice about the electron arrangements of all the ions described above?

5. Why do does sodium form a 1+ ion whereas fluorine forms a 1 ion?

6. Why do you think that the elements of group 0 are unreactive?

7. What is the charge on an ion of a group II element?

8. What is the charge on an ion of a group V element?

9. Elements of group IV do not form ionic compounds. Why do you think this is?
