Andaluza was founded in 2010 by Carlos Hernndez and Christian Robinson, both classical and folk guitarists from

Guayaquil, Ecuador who have just released their first album. They are teachers and music arrangers whose aim is to innovate within the classical repertory, and arrange unpublished songs in an instrumental format for Spanish guitar. They have performed in prestigious venues in Guayaquil, and last year were invited to participate in the VII International Festival of Classical Guitar of Cuenca, Ecuador. They were special guests in the 'Guitar Gems' Festival in the City of Netanya, Israel. Guest bassist Fernando Alvarado was selected as the bassist of the "Jazz Envoys," a program sponsored by the US Embassy, and the Universidad San Francisco de Quito in Ecuador Jazz Masters. He is full-time professor at the Catholic University of Guayaquil for Modern Popular Music with a focus on jazz. One hour program without intermission will include classical Spanish guitar and Ecuadorean music. After this concert, Andaluza will tour Maryland and Pennsylvania with the World Artist Experience.
