4th Grade ELED 459 Intro: Literacy Assessment/ Remediation PE 360 K-8 Physical Education Methods

Urban/Rural Reflection Rural For EDFN 338, I had to sit in on a class and observe. I felt that I really learned a lot from the teacher. She had a small class, and tried to accommodate them all in the style of her teaching. Rural For ELED 440, I went to the St. Thomas school once a week for thirty minutes. I read a story to my three students, and then we would do an activity to make sure they understood the story. Rural Twice a week for about 5 weeks, I worked with two students for an hour learning literacy skills. We tested the children on their reading skills before and after to see if they improved. Rural For PE 360, I went to the Armory twice a week for an hour to teach physical education skills to the Headstart students. The class taught them skills like throwing balls, kicking balls, balancing, skipping, and even included learning letters and shapes.
