Riverside Police Officer Attends 2 Week First Line Supervisor Class Training Provided by Northwestern University
Riverside Police Officer-In-Charge Brian Greenenwald, recently attended the two week course entitled Supervising Police Personnel, provided by the Northwestern University Center for Public Safety. The training was held at the Westmont Police Department and featured instruction from leaders in law enforcement from across the states of Illinois and Wisconsin. The two week training provided the opportunity for officers and new sergeants in attendance to discuss management styles, problems in their own agencies and possible solutions. Designated training topics included how to evaluate and motivate police officers, how to discipline problem employees, as well as how to handle critical incidents.
