14 February 2014 Dear Parents/Carers and Cub Scouts In the last letter I mentioned reminding you of the items we are collecting to help both others, and ourselves but then omitted to give the details, which are now listed below: Aluminium we recycle this and any monies raised are put back into the section funds to support programme activities. Active Kids Vouchers We are working with Meerkat Explorer Scout Unit to provide resources that can be used by ourselves as well as the Explorer Unit. Last year we managed to raise enough to receive 5 Compasses and a Large First Aid Kit, and have already bank some vouchers to get us started this year. Foreign Currency - The Yorkshire Cancer Centre is a charity is close to us as Skips wife has recently undergone treatment and we would like to try and give something back to them for the amazing assistance that they have and continue to provide. Plastic Milk Bottle Tops These are being donated to a friend of a couple of our group members to enable them to provide an electric wheelchair.
