Junior Kindergarten News: February 2014

It is hard to believe we are at the half way mark of the school year! The students are making excellent progress with their numeracy skills and of letter sounds. They are learning many news things, and having fun in the process. In Bible this month we will be studying about some people from the Old Testament who listened to God. We will discover that God gave his people constant love and care and that he had a plan for them. God is in charge of what happens and students will learn that they are also part of Gods plan. On Friday, February, 14, we will exchange valentine cards and have a small class party to celebrate Gods gift of friendship. There are 15 students in our class. Rather than addressing each valentine card to a specific student, please have your child sign the from section only. There is no need to send candy to school that day. The Home Reading Program is going very well. I have really enjoyed reading with each child during the week. Please remember to read the book sent home with your child, and send it back to school on their reading day as marked on the calendar in their Home Reading Program duo -tang.

Have a great month!
