Our aim is to use the wireless technology for higher level comfortability for HANDICAPPED PEOPLE. The system will consist of one hand held unit which control wheel chair provided to the person who is physically challenged.

The hardware consists of a simple open source hardware board

designed around an 8-bit Atmel AVR microcontroller.

Arduino can sense the environment by receiving input from a

variety of sensors and can affect its surroundings by controlling lights, motors, and other actuators.

ACCELEROMETER
An accelerometer is a device that measures proper

acceleration. The proper acceleration measured by an accelerometer is not necessarily the coordinate acceleration. The accelerometer sees the acceleration associated with the phenomenon of weight experienced by any test mass at rest in the frame of reference of the accelerometer device. Accelerometers have multiple applications in industry and science. Highly sensitive accelerometers are components of inertial navigation systems for aircraft and missiles.
