Independent Project Planning Document III

Action Plan:
Use the guiding questions/statements below to create your Action Plan An Action Plan must be lled with dates. All research must be ready and complete by Wednesday, February 19th. Work backwards from this date.

Guiding Questions / Statements:


1. Preparation Do you have all the research you need? Can you research more? Can you research past performances, similar scripts, practitioners philosophy, manifestos, audience reactions to similar performances, etc. Have you a. Researched your aims & objectives? b. Researched your stimulus? c. Researched the new skill you wish to explore? d. Researched the style of performance? 2. Applied Research How do you plan to apply your research? If you are directing, what, from your research, have you discovered? What skills will you employ? How do you PLAN on practically executing these skills? Draw up a detailed plan to experiment with skills during specic time slots on the schedule. It is still considered an Independent Project if things do not go as planned. 3. Reection - Have this time sectioned off in your plan. You obviously cannot answer these questions until you have started the project. Document EVERYTHING! You will be shocked how quickly you forget things. Try something new and address how it work or did not work throughout your IP.

Plan to stop, take pictures/videos, write a few lines of reection throughout the entire process. Plan for this. Plan for moments like these. Knowledge gained is more valuable than meeting your goals. Have FUN! This is a great opportunity for you to create a piece of theatre you are passionate about! 4. Preparation Take Two - Have this time sectioned off in your plan. You obviously cannot answer these questions until you have started the project. Plan to narrow your research. Can you add more elements in your performance? Is something not working and do you need to do some research to nd a solution? Explore solutions through research. 5. Applied Research Take Two Apply the new research. Plan! Explore! Discover! Answer the Applied Research questions above.
