11 General Orders
To walk my post in a Military manner, keeping always alert and observing anything that takes place within sight or hearing. 3. To report all violations of orders I am entrusted to enforce. 4. To repeat all calls from post more distant from the guard house than my own. 5. To quit only when properly relieved. 6. To receive, obey, and pass to the sentinel who relieves me all the orders of the Commanding Officer, Officer of the Day, and Officers and Non-Commission Officers of the guards only. 7. To talk to no one except in the line of duty. 8. To give the alarm in case of fire and disorder. 9. To call the Commander the relief in any case not covered by the instruction. 10. To salute all Officers, all Colors, and Standards not case(d). 11. To especially watch full at night, and during times of challenging to challenge all persons on or near my post and to allow no one to pass without proper authority. 12th General Order There is no such thing as the 12th General Order, but if there is. It is to memorize and put into practice all the 11 General Orders.
