APPLICATION OF SOCIAL WORK ETHICAL PRINCIPLES, GUIDING MY PROFESSIONAL PRACTICE

2.1 Recognize and manage personal values in a way that allows professional values to guide practice

2.2 MAKE ETHICAL DECISIONS BY APPLYING STANDARDS OF THE NATIONAL ASSOCIATION OF SOCIAL WORKERS CODE OF ETHICS AND, AS APPLICABLE OF SOCIAL WORK ETHICS IN SOCIAL WORK, STATEMENT OF PRINCIPLES
I will refer to the NASW Code of Ethics

2.3 TOLERATE AMBIGUITY IN RESOLVING ETHICAL CONFLICTS

As a learning social work student I will be understanding to the fact that practicing social workers have different styles of practice and do not always abide by the NASW Code of Ethics in professional manners; my goal is to reach an understanding to benefit all involved. Timeframe: ongoing

2.4 APPLY STRATEGIES OF ETHICAL REASONING TO ARRIVE AT PRINCIPLED DECISIONS

I will use this class as an avenue to converse with both my field professor and supervisor, learning and applying strategies with the goal of arriving to principled decisions
